Matthew M. Carlin, M.D.

Matthew M. Carlin, M.D.

Dr. Carlin, A Webster native, received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine.  He completed his Pediatric Residency at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.  Dr. Carlin is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He is a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester and a member of the Central New York Pediatric Club.  Dr. Carlin returned to Rochester to join Twelve Corners Pediatrics in 2005.  He lives in Webster with his wife and two sons.



Barbara B. Frelinger, M.D.

Dr. Frelinger, originally from Wisconsin, received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her medical degree from the University Of Southern California School Of Medicine.  Dr. Frelinger completed her residency in pediatrics in 1984 at Stanford University Medical Center.  She moved to Rochester to join Twelve Corners Pediatrics.  In addition to her private practice, Dr. Frelinger is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, University of Rochester as well as an Associate Attending Physician, Strong Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Frelinger is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics as well as Board certified in Pediatrics.  Dr. Frelinger lives in Pittsford with her husband and children.


Sanford J. Mayer, M.D.

Dr. Mayer received his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and his medical degree from Universite Libre De Bruxelles, Faculte de Medecine.  He completed his residency in pediatrics in 1977 at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron.  Dr. Mayer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is also Board Certified in Pediatrics.  He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical School and is a preceptor for medical students and pediatric residents.  He has served on several local and national medical Boards and Committees of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Mayer has a special interest in children and teens with behavioral issues and stress.   In addition to his private practice, Dr. Mayer has been a piano student at the Eastman School of Music for 27 years.  He enjoys tennis, history and foreign relations.  Dr. Mayer has 2 adult children and lives in Brighton with his wife.


Mary Beth Robinson, M.D.

Dr. Robinson, a Rochester native, is a graduate of the University of Vermont.  She received her medical degree from the University of Rochester and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Robinson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified.  She has served on several local medical Boards and Committees.  Dr. Robinson holds a faculty position with the University of Rochester.  She is a preceptor for medical students and pediatric residents.  She has a special interest in children and teens with ADHD and developmental disabilities.  Dr. Robinson joined Twelve Corners Pediatrics in 1989.  She resides in Irondequoit with her husband and 4 daughters.
