After an initial consultation with the physicians at Twelve Corners Pediatrics to talk about issues your child is dealing with, our doctors will make a recommendation to either treat your child within our practice or refer them to a qualified mental health specialist that can provide for quality coordination of care for your child. If you would like to schedule a consultation with your doctor to evaluate an emotional or social issue your child if facing, please call our office (585-473-3535 x4) to make an appointment. If you are ever concerned that the emotional issues your child is facing are severe enough to risk suicide or injury to self and/or others, please seek immediate medical attention at an emergency facility or call 911.
We screen for depression at all adolescent well child exams using the following screening tool:
